Edith Hope Fineloves the rhythm of language and the sounds of invented words. Her work includes the picture books Under the Lemon Moonand Cryptomania!Edith lives in southern California. Winslow Pelshas illustrated a number of books for children, including Spectaclesby Ann Beattie; Stone Soupby Ann McGovern; Camelotby Jane Yolen; and Ali and the Magic Stewby Shulamith Levey Oppenheim. She lives in Pennsylvania. A former teacher, Edith is a successful free-lance writer whose articles and stories have appeared in Humpty Dumpty, World Book Encyclopedia, Jack and Jill, and Children's Magic Window. She has penned a weekly column, "Citizen Network," for over six years, and in 1987 received an EDPRESS award for excellence in educational journalism. As part of the team, F/J Associates, she and Judith Josephson have published features in the Los Angeles Times, American Baby, Baby Talk, Instructor, Cobblestone, U.S.
Kids, and the San Diego Union. Together they also conduct writing workshops at San Diego and Orange County colleges and universities. Edith, who has two sons, is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University. She enjoys reading, knitting, machine quilting, and her membership in American Association of University Women. Who am I?
