Learning to Print is a fun dynamic multisensory approach to teaching handwriting. It is based on kinesthetic principles, as well as visual and auditory methods of learning. The formation of each letter involves learning a series of steps. Each step is a story line and the total number of steps for each letter comprises a simple story. Children learn the letters by hearing or reciting the story line and then applying the appropriate kinesthetic motion with their arms/hands. Letters will be formed when the correct series of steps is completed. Children have done much better with this approach than many other handwriting methods. They have an easier time following the instructions and forming the letters.
Also, children enjoyed this method more than other approaches.
