MJ Finn is an armchair pilot with a life-long interest in the Golden Age of Air Racing. Growing up in northern Chicago led to basing his leading character, TJ O'Connell, there and provides an opportunity to describe the vibrant, growing city in the heart of the United States that was more than the stomping grounds for Al Capone and other famous criminals of the period. Marty's favorite mystery authors include Alistair MacLean, Lee Child, James Benn, and Anthony Horowitz. Marty lives near the Connecticut shore with his patient and supporting wife, Debbie. He enjoys walks on the beach as an enjoyable way to recharge after a day of writing about fast airplanes and shady criminals.
