STEM Includes Me exposes all children to careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) in an effort to increase awareness, interest and diversity in STEM careers. STEM Includes Me accomplishes that goal by taking the reader A through Z through various STEM careers with dynamic diverse illustrations and catchy career descriptions. Early exposure to STEM experiences increases a child's ability to innovatively solve problems that are important to them and their community. Through STEM experiences, children naturally learn the significance of working collaboratively with others while using their unique analytical skills to test ideas in a world where all things are possible. When communities afford all children these opportunities, children begin to develop their STEM identity by discovering who they are, knowing where they belong, and communicating what they can do. STEM Includes Me is authored by mother daughter duo Sherita Flake and Makenzie Flake.
