To speak of freedom and liberty in connection to the individuated person is almost a misnomer in this sense; the discovery of Self involves higher states of consciousness that the base consciousness (or partially sub-conscious) person is not subject to, being in a sense free or at liberty from the universal mandates of Love and truth, the very things that places the conscientious Self into a type of bondage and slavery. This is not to be understood as by force or oppression, but on a voluntary basis such as a bond servant of antiquity.
