A funny and heartwarming story that also happens to be true. It all began with a visit of a Great Blue Heron to the author's backyard. Henry the Heron is a wild bird that has also become a pet, a very unusual pet to be sure. You cannot pet him, or put him on a leash and take him for a walk, or bring him inside the house to sleep next to you at night. But this wonderful bird has brought such joy into the lives of many over the last ten years that he has continued visiting the author's backyard.
