Fr. Jonathan Foster, O.F.M., a member of the Franciscan Friars of the Sacred Heart Province, has worked in the Chicago area since 1962 as an educator, retreat house director, retreat master and spiritual director.He is the founder of Mayslake Ministries, a retreat and spiritual formation ministry in Downers Grove, IL. He has been extensively involved in the ministry of spiritual formation at St. Margaret Mary Parish in Naperville, IL where he has been spiritual director of the men's "Christ Renews His Parish" retreat program since 1995.

A native of Petoskey, MI, he derives inspiration for his writing from nature, the Bible, liturgy and observations from daily life.
