Andrea Fuchs Petzi was born in Hof, Germany, and later made California her home. After completing her doctorate on Orientalism in German Literature at UCLA, she taught for twenty-five years before founding two private language institutes in Los Angeles. She has since turned to writing fiction and painting, drawing inspiration from both her Franconian roots and the landscapes of Southern California. Her work explores themes of identity, memory, and cultural encounter, weaving together history and imagination in luminous, compelling narratives.
