Writer and photographer Nicholas Gill (chapters 10, 11, and 14) is based in Lima, Peru and Brooklyn, New York. His work regularly appears in publications such as the New York Times , Conde Nast Traveler , Caribbean Travel & Life, and World Hum. He has also contributed to Frommer's South America and Frommer's Central America and written Frommer's Honduras . Christie Pashby (chapters 12 and 13) is the author of Frommer's Banff and Jasper National Parks and a contributing writer to Frommer's Argentina and Frommer's South America . She divides her time between the Canadian Rockies and Patagonia, where she runs a small guiding business with her husband. Kristina Schreck (chapters 1-9) spends an endless amount of time on the road, but is happiest when back in Santiago, Chile, where she lives. She has traveled widely around the globe, and has lived in Argentina and Chile for nearly a decade, working as a freelance writer, an outdoor guide, and the marketing manager of Portillo ski resort. She is the former managing editor of Adventure Journal magazine .
