The authors have engaged Bospar PR to provide a comprehensive media and PR campaign throughout the US to promote The Inside Gig. The media kit will include, among other things, Advance Reader Copies (ARCs), a press release, and a written Q & A with the authors. The pitch list will include, among others: Trade and national outlets, including Publishers Weekly, Kirkus Reviews, Library Journal, Shelf Awareness, The New York Times, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post, and others National TV, radio, and print business media HR-focused blogs, podcasts, and online outlets The authors intend to leverage their respective networks to promote the book as well as their ideas. After the release of the book, they will launch a series of speaking engagements as well as write several articles and blogs and create videos to support promotion of the book. They are both active users of LinkedIn and Twitter with collective viewings of close to 5,000. Some of their targeted co-marketing initiatives and speaking engagements will be: The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) HR People + Strategy (HRPS) and all of its affiliates (10 to 12) Organizational Development Network Center for Effective Organizations G100 Talent Consortium G50 CEOs CHREATE Network (over 100 CHROs and HR thought leaders) Conferences geared toward the Future of Work The authors will execute a robust content marketing plan around the promotion of The Inside Gig, to include: Newsletters and articles drawn from the book to be shared on LinkedIn com website with pre-order link, links to upcoming speaking events, articles, and other collateral, and videos of speaking engagements (including Kelley's DisruptHR talk) Animated video describing concepts from the book Resources drawn from the book to be offered as pre-order incentives Kelley Steven-Waiss attended the HR Tech Show in Las Vegas in October 2019. To promote the book, she distributed copies of a chapbook at the conference. Both authors have speaking events with the Silicon Valley HR Association in March 2020.


Kelley Steven-Waiss has submitted to speak at SHRM Talent Management conference; Edie has submitted to speak at SHRM annual conference. Collectively, they are tracking 31 conferences to apply to for speaking opportunities. Edie Goldberg is based in Menlo Park, California, and Kelley Steven-Waiss is based in Los Gatos, California. Both authors can travel to other US cities for media opportunities.
