Alex Gonzalez began writing in elementary school, where he fell in love with creating new scenes and characters from his imagination. He has written several short stories and young adult novels, but Wild Prep: Crazy Beautiful Life is his first published piece. He wrote Wild Prep during his sophomore year in high school. As he grew up in a small rural town, Alex's experiences were drastically different than those in Wild Prep; however, some teenage experiences are universal. Alex draws upon his own thoughts and feelings to create characters that are believable. He currently lives with his mom and younger brother in Colorado, where he attends school and is in the top ten of his class. He also holds a part-time job, and spends every spare minute he has writing.
