Response to Loren Cunningham's Book, Why Not Women?
This book counter-acts Loren Cunningham's book, "Why Not Women?" He seeks to prove that women should be equal to men in leadership and status in marriage and in the church. Thus, he thinks that women can be commonly appointed as elders. But I counter all his arguments by demonstrating that Paul's teaching on this subject are not antiquated: men are to be elders, and husbands are to be the heads of families. There are, however, uncommon exceptions to Paul's rule since some women really are called to be leaders in a church.
