The metre gauge railways of Thailand provide an opportunity to step back into the past, particularly in the more outlying areas, and to experience train travel in coaches with windows that open, hauled by vintage diesel locomotives over railway lines which are still controlled by semaphore signals in many areas. In this book, the fifth in the series, we look at the railways in the north and east of Thailand over the last ten years.
