Elissa Haden Guest is the author of the award-winning Iris and Walter series. The first book in the series, Iris and Walter, was a Publishers Weekly Best Book of the Year, an ALA Notable Children's Book, a Bulletin Blue Ribbon Book, and winner of a PEN Center USA West Literary Award for Children's Literature (2001). She lives in California. Christine Davenier has illustrated all ten of the Iris and Walter books, as well as the Very Fairy Princess books by the actress Julie Andrews and Emma Walton Hamilton. She lives in Paris.
