The Man Who Walked Out of the Sun : A Lifetime of Summers with Garry Sobers
Between the late 1950s and the mid 1970s Garry Sobers was at the heart of the great West Indies cricket teams. He was a legendary all-rounder, capable of turning a match with bat or ball . For many years he held a number of world records, including the highest Test match score (365*) and the famous feat of hitting six 6s in a single over. Until the 50s in the Caribbean Black players had not been given their proper due, and the West Indies had always selected a white captain. Sobers helped change all that with his brilliance and charisma.
