This series consists of three module books, covering all four units for the AS level in the use of maths. The mathematics is presented in a context likely to have general interest to the students, emphasizing the application of mathematics to real life situations and to other areas of the curriculum. Portfolio sections feature at the end of each chapter to help students develop their project work using the skills learnt in the chapter. It is written for OCR, AQA and Edexcel specifications. It was co-written by Geoff Wake, writer of the specification for the AS level, and June Haighton, who was involved in the development of the Free Standing Maths Units from which the qualification was derived.
