This is a collection of poems inspired by and following my four-week stay in hospital after a stroke. The poems highlight the highs and lows of my experience, from the exceptional care and kindness shown by the staff to the horrors of a ward at night, and from the delicious well-prepared food to my initial attempts at walking and the reawakening of my arm and hand. There is sadness and humour here in my honest attempt to recollect my hospitalisation.
