Chris Hall is a freelance journalist living in London. He has covered the luxury watch industry since 2011, contributing to titles including The New York Times, The Financial Times, Vanity Fair, GQ, The Telegraph, Esquire, Wired and many others. He runs his own online publication, The Fourth Wheel, and in 2025 created The Independent Watchmaking Report, an analysis of indie brands around the world. His very first watch was an Omega Seamaster 'mid-size' diver from the early 2000s.
