Designed for independent readers, books in the Reading Corner series are compiled in consultation with literacy and reading experts. Titles within the grade 1 series are divided into three levels by increasing word counts; level 1 stories contain 50 words, level 2 stories contain 70 words, and level 3 stories contain 100 words.
