As a keen engineer, twenty-three year old James Royston finds himself finally free from working the cargo ships from London. James is employed as an Engineer Officer by world-renowned Cunard Steam Ship Company, and best of all on the almighty Queen Mary. Making good friends along the way, James works hard in the engine rooms, despite the inconvenient shift hours. However, little does James know, unfortunate circumstances will lead him to taking on a vastly different position among the ship's staff, and mixing not only with fellow officers, but drinking champagne alongside the first class passengers too. A lot can happen on one ship's round trip journey between Southampton and New York, and with nowhere to go, crimes must not remain unsolved.
