Pip Harry is the bestselling author of 'The Little Wave', winner of the CBCA Book of the Year for Younger Readers and 'August & Jones', winner of the CBCA Shadow Judges Book of the Year. She' s also written young adult titles and picture books. This is Pip' s first-time co-writing fiction and she' s never laughed so much on a book project. Pip is passionate about writing characters for children that are brave, resilient and kind. Kate Foster is an internationally published and bestselling children's author. Several of her books have been CBCA Notables, with 'Harriet Hound' winning the Speech Pathology Book of the Year Awards and The Bravest Word the Family Therapist's Award. She founded The ASLA DANZ Children's Book Award, to recognise and celebrate diverse children' s fiction. Kate is passionate about encouraging and teaching a wider understanding of neurodiversity.
Joanna Bartel is a Melbourne-born illustrator with a background in graphic design and secondary school art/design and English teaching. She draws much of her inspiration from everyday family life with her husband and three young kids, experiences working in schools, and childhood memories of fun with three brothers and lots of cousins. Joanna has a particular love for character design and celebrating diversity. She has illustrated a range of books for young and middle grade readers and currently lives in the Adelaide Hills.
