James Hartley is a former computer programmer.Originally from northern New Jersey, he now livesin sunny central Florida with his wife Sally, twocats, and a swimming pool. He has published sevenfantasy novels, "The Ghost of Grover's Ridge,""Magic Is Faster Than Light," "Teen Angel," "Copwith a Wand," "Magic to the Rescue," "This Wandfor Hire," and "Fortunatus," and has a sciencefiction novel, "Beverly Bronte Space Chick" dueout soon. He has had short stories published ase-books, in the collection "Worlds Away andWorlds Aweird," in anthologies, and in e-zines andprint magazines. He is currently working on a newbook, "The Island of Dr. Merlot.".
