In 1959 Midland Red buses were to be found throughout the Midlands.The counties of Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Warwickshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, Rutland, Oxfordshire all had Midland Red stage carriage services running within their boundaries. This was the year the M1 motorway opened and Midland Red were quick to add specially built motorway coaches to their coach fleet that could be spotted nationwide!.
