Brian M. Hayden was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1954 into a middle class, blue collar Jewish family. He and his family moved to the suburbs of Los Angeles, California in 1961. He is the second generation born American son of Austrian and English grandparents on his father's side and Polish and Russian grandparents on his mother's side. Hayden enlisted in the Air Force in 1972 and finally was medically discharged July 1990. Up until now, his writing had been limited to writing works of non-fiction. He has written a management book, several scripts for educational videos and two memoirs. He is actually in the midst of writing a third.

He married a wonderful girl, Denise in August of 1974, and is happy to announce they are still very much in love, and happily married after more than 38 years. They have two children. Joseph is married and provided them with three absolutely wonderful grandsons. Their daughter Angela is also married and provided an addition three very special step grandsons. They currently reside in San Antonio, Texas.
