The anxious tyrant of Anorus, Lord Roland, initiates a children's massacre after one of his lords brings him word that the long thought to be dead princess might actually be alive. With a little bit of luck, fourteen year old Siena manages to escape her hometime when the soldiers get there, only to be captured by others later on. However, no one seems to agree with what exactly to do with her when it proves impossible to kill her. Roland simply wants to assure that there is nothing between his son and the throne while Anorus slowly begins to realize that the son is much worse than the father.
