Scott Neilson is an Autistic Trainer, Mentor and Consultant in Scotland, holding a PGCert in Autism from Sheffield Hallam University. They are dedicated to educating people on Autism and other neurodivergences, with over 7 years of experience supporting individuals and their families, in addition to delivering training within various settings. Throughout their career, Scott has collaborated with several neurodivergent professionals and organisations, such as AUsome Training and GROVE Neurodivergent Mentoring & Education. In 2024, Scott co-authored Creating Safe Spaces for Autistic People and Gabby's Glimmers along with Laura Hellfeld. Laura Hellfeld is a neurodivergent nurse, health educator, and sleep consultant whose work focuses on equity and belonging within Neurodivergent and Disabled communities. They centre accessible approaches to self-care while also shaping inclusive community and public spaces, particularly within education and healthcare. Laura does this through direct support for individuals and families, as well as through workshops and educational events for both professionals and community members. Laura has licensure in Nursing (MSN, RN) and Public Health Nursing (PHN), as well as certification as a Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL).
Drawing from lived experience and public health service, Laura creates inclusive spaces, hosts community events, and co-authors books like Gabby's Glimmers , Creating Safe Spaces for Autistic People .
