Someone is needed to interview two spinster sisters in their nineties for a research project in Social History and Folklore. Dr Rhianna 'Anna' Summers takes some persuasion to go back to research work, but eventually accepts the job and travels to their village on an isolated peninsula. The very day she arrives a spate of brutal - and seemingly random - murders starts to unfold, casting suspicion on incomer and villager alike.
