Vince Pallazola, elevated in rank after killing a rogue deputy police chief, is targetted along with Dan O'Driscoll, a participant in that killing, by persons unknown, presumed to have had connections with that crooked deputy chief. Threat levels escalate as official and unofficial investigations dig into past cases to find and terminate the sources of the threats.
