Take a trip along memory lane as I meander about stories of growing up as an army brat. Because the only world that existed for me was my family, the stories mostly center around us and the experiences I had with them. Living in six states and three countries before I was eighteen, to most of us, would be a great experience, and as an adult, I can truly say it was a "great" experience, but as a child, I saw many drawbacks: losing friends, gaining new friends, losing enemies, gaining new enemies, leaving bad schools, and leaving good schools. These experiences would come together, later in my life, to give me a very rounded experience of human nature, but as a child, it sometimes bordered on trauma, but as the years went by, I learned to cope with the loss and profit from my experiences. As a child, I didn't see myself as a gifted child. In fact, just the opposite. I saw others around me excelling in sports, math, English, and the arts. I struggled in everything, from walking, school work, and friendships.

The fact that we moved every so many years meant that I had no long friendships. The failures and the small successes I had were left behind, only to stay in my mind and, as time went on, they were taken in, and I developed a sense that something was guiding me, and I began to take things in fact and didn't let it bother me. How I got to where I am today is in the stories I tell, and maybe you can gleam something from my ramblings.
