Poems from the River, the Classroom, and Other Sacred Places
This book is a collection of poems from the important areas of the author's life. Many take place rafting and fishing rivers, others talk about the classroom and the students met there. All of the poem's retain a bit of the magical, mystical or "sacred" elements of the relationship between the author and his subjects. These poems touch on themes of nature, creation, aging, and teaching. The relationship is not at first obvious, but these poems are connected by a thread that becomes evident by reading all the sections and understanding the author's voice and unique perspective.
