Bill Hurst resides with his wife Greta in Berrien County, Michigan among its beautiful fruit farms, vineyards and wineries. He has a BA from Williams College in Economics and a Masters degree in Finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Employed in Information Technology for 35+ years, he has managed Information Technology projects for start-ups and large corporations across many industries.A lifelong reader in economics, philosophy and political science, over the past decade Bill has focused on economic and social inequality in the US, disequilibrium in the international economic system, the changing world order, and on the causes of political gridlock. n 2015, the rise of populists Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump raised alarms, and Bill started a research organization, SupportTheCenter.org to promote centrist solutions. Trump's unexpected 2016 presidential victory increased his alarm. He decided he needed to understand how his neighbors, who are good people, could support Donald Trump, a man who consistently lies, lacks humility, disrespects others and lacks the right temperament and capabilities to be President.
He interviewed them to understand their political and social views, while absorbing excellent literature about our political divide. This book is the result.
