In the third volume of the Dark Prophecy trilogy, the vampires have defeated the witches but now they are faced with the fulfilment of the the last part of the prophecy, which says that the time of the vampires is coming to an end and all vampires will cease to exist. Shane must lead the other vampires in a struggle against this ultimate disaster.
