Curt Iles is a Southern writer and speaker living in Alexandria, Louisiana. He is the author of fourteen books under his brand, Creekbank Stories. Curt is an eighth-generation Louisianian who writes from a backdrop of the stories, history, and culture of western Louisiana's No Man's Land. His stories celebrate the remarkable people, places, and culture of his home state and impart inspirational life lessons. Through his Creekbank Stories brand, stories, books, blog, website, and social media/speaking platforms, Curt has built a loyal readership throughout Louisiana, East Texas, and beyond. Curt Iles has worked as a teacher/coach, school principal, camp manager, African missionary, and full-time speaker/writer. His varied careers have one thing in common: connecting with people and building relationships. In addition to writing daily, Curt is involved in a local homeless ministry, mentoring young men and influencing his grandchildren.
He graduated from Louisiana College with a B.S. in 1979 and has additional Master's degrees from McNeese State University. Curt Iles lives with his wife, DeDe, in Alexandria, Louisiana. They have three sons and nine grandchildren.
