For 24 hours the earth's magnetic field is reversed placing the ground above and the sky beneath. During the interim, our hero, young Perkins, 13 years of age, must find a way to the pharmacy to obtain his 10 year old sister's insulin for diabetes. The journey through falling magma, fires, and earthquakes adding to the drama creates a fascinating tale for the young.
