Based closely on actual events. How a community of everyday people take the side of a corrupt corporation and shonky manager against a neighbour who only blew the whistle to protect the same neighbours and himself. Not a high profile story where bombs explode and people are shot, however very factual right down to the dialogue (changed names, locations etc). Weird and funny happenings go along whistleblowing, the story should be read with a dash of humour. Below, quotes from book. Obie Dips , a modern 'Rockstar manager', tall, confident, chic spiked hairdo. Born Perth, bankrupted twice in Queensland, sneaked to Sydney in darkest sunnies, now the multi millionaire. With body guard, driver, pin stripes and Porche, a touch of dash, mystery with mist.

Abraham Lincoln is older, tall, educated, an elegant speaker. He gains respect. Once a high ranking "Painters and Dockers" representative, the most feared union in the country. Despite the style, plays hard. Noble Jim , born England, sometimes claims he's a Scot? Some consider him as role model, delights discussing politics, the successful 'ways' past US presidents. Describes his profession as 'the noble art of painting', and proudly claims this along with charity work and helping art students holds him in high repute. In contrast he also enjoys kicking, punching both stuffed bags and timber dummies, 'apparently' a student of Bruce Lee's during his young American days. Malcolm X.

He's tall and solid with strong presence and sits on the board of Australia's leading airline companies. Has political sway and is not totally blinded by the committee's propaganda. Miss Gillard is Obie's lawyer. I suspect word of low currency. I later find she works for Obie full time, enough said. Richard Nixon's input at meetings consists of mumbled barbs. The politician, or con man as he honestly referred to himself, is at best when working one on one behind scenes. Judge King Xerses, "you may get justice, but you will have to pay for it".

Jesse James A steel safe door obscures me from sight, not intimidated I walk out. I am solid, this 'bonecrusher' is quickly on his way. Crazy Bull , the short, solid type, a firm character. First impression a feisty human bulldog. Fair Consumer Trading just another human watchdog effectively endorsing what they are supposed to be stopping. Conciliation the name, brushing under carpet the game.
