I am an old Scottish working man, who's now retired, and I'm a bit bored. Over the years, I have had numerous jobs, some good well paid, some terrible poorly paid, together with some fantastic experiences, and some real disasters. I believe it is human nature, to want to tell the world of our personal achievements in life, well I don't have any, but I have lived a life. I decided to write and publish a collection of short stories, in contiguity, from my experiences as a young man, as I set out to see what life had to offer. In hindsight, I didn't realise how clueless, naïve, and tactless I was. So, in the recorded annals of human history, this book will be my legacy, alas. I think it will appeal to the male sense of humour. The events, mishaps, and cringe-worthy situations detailed in this book, are events that happened during a three-month period in the 1970s, from when I had just turned twenty years old, and having just completed a four-year training apprenticeship.

In remembering and documenting these events, I have toned down the bad language, and sexual detail, however, it's a book for men, and does contain some chauvinistic type humour and behaviours, simply because, that's how it was back then.
