Kimberly Jansma, who received her Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from the University of Texas at Austin, is Senior Lecturer and French language program director at the Department of French and Francophone Studies at The University of California at Los Angeles. She teaches language and linguistics courses and is in charge of instructor development. In addition, she directs UCLA's Summer French language program in Paris. Dr. Jansma's research interests include pragmatics, technology-enhanced language learning and content-based instruction. She has published several pedagogical texts and presented her research at major conferences.

Dr. Jansma is a recipient of UCLA's Distinguished Lecturer Award and the Copenhaver Award for Innovation in Teaching with Technology.
