Two first collections of poetry under the one cover. The poetry in Jeffs' 'Poems from the Madhouse' explores the experience of insanity. The poet's work has appeared in journals including 'Tirra Lirra' and the anthologies 'Difference' and 'The Exploding Frangipani' and she is editing an anthology on madness entitled 'Voices in the Dark'. Staines' collection, 'Now Millennium', includes the 'Venus Port' sequence for which she shared first prize in the under 25 section of the 1991 Mattara Poetry Award.
