Kara Johns is a wife, mother, and grandmother who lives in rural Iowa. She loves to read, teaches piano lessons, plays pickleball, and enjoys chocolate chip cookies. Kara graduated from Utah State University in 1995 in English, with an emphasis in Professional Writing. Kara's books include topics such as agriculture, the environment, animals, insects, families, emotional wellness, and relationships. Kara is a member of SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators).
