Julian Patrick Johnson is an American author, educator and composer living in Los Angeles California. He is a native of Ohio and a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Boston. He was an English teacher in Argentina and Brazil for several years before becoming a public school educator in the Boston suburbs. He moved to California in 2005 and began creating material for his audio book series "The Newton Hill Academy". After various false starts, in 2011 he assembled a talented cast of musicians, engineers, artists and voice over actors and completed the material for a five book series: "The Newton Hill Academy Learn Spanish/Aprende Inglés". He continues to develop other titles with the intention of providing exciting and meaningful learning experiences to children and adults all over the world. Mr. Johnson's books are bilingual and illustrated with great humor and playfulness: he believes that by combining exciting music with fun voice overs, the learning of new words and phrases becomes much easier.

His books all are accompanied with unique, large and expansive soundtracks. Music is at the very heart of his work and it is his belief that the experience of learning a new language, like most things in life, is sweetened and improved with rhythm, sound and melody. His books are wholesome, fun and appropriate for readers of all ages.
