Kimberly Johnson is the author of the previous poetry collections Uncommon Prayer, A Metaphorical God, and Leviathan with a Hook, and of book-length translations of Virgil and Hesiod. She has also published a number of critical works on seventeenth-century literature and has edited projects including Before the Door of God: An Anthology of Devotional Poetry. Recipient of grants and fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Tanner Humanities Center, among others, she lives and teaches in Utah.
