In book 8 of the Smoke Jensen Novel of the West series, Smoke is asked to transport horses to an Army base in New Mexico. Mission accomplished until the horses are stolen after he delivers them. Smoke then goes on desperate hunt for the horses and a mysterious and dangerous outlaw named the Desert Wolf.
