RICHARD JONES has been fascinated by insects, since a childhood running semi-feral over the South Downs and Sussex Weald. Entomology started as a boyhood hobby, but after careers in antiquarian books and medical publishing, he now carries out environmental and ecological surveys of insects and other invertebrates, for their scientific, wildlife, and conservation value. He is a fellow of the Royal Entomological Society, a fellow of the Linnean Society of London, has written over 20 books on insects, wildlife and the environment, and is a regular on radio and television - mostly myth-busting all the regular over-worn insect stereotypes.
