Emily Joof is a Gambian - Malian - French Swedish author. Her children's books showcase and celebrate multiculturalism and the West African Diaspora. Emily's inspiration to write started from one of her greatest fears realized - her daughter saying that she didn't want to be brown anymore because she wanted to be like 'everyone else'. Because of this experience, Emily knows firsthand how powerful representation in books can be. Asma Enayeh is a French Syrian illustrator who grew up in Damascus and currently lives in Dubai.
