Richard A. Jordan is the founder of Six Finger Press and the author of the Handpan Spirit series and the Easy Life Planner series. For more than fifty years, he has explored meditation, mindfulness, and the quiet connection between awareness, intention, and everyday life. Richard first discovered the handpan in 2013 and immediately recognized something unique in its warm tones and gentle vibration. What began as an appreciation for a remarkable musical instrument became a deeply personal journey into stillness, presence, and inner reflection. He came to see the handpan not simply as an instrument to be played, but as a quiet companion that invites listeners to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with themselves. His writing combines practical guidance with thoughtful reflection, encouraging readers to explore timeless practices such as mindful listening, meditation, mudras, breath awareness, and quiet contemplation. Rather than promoting a single philosophy or belief system, Richard invites readers to discover what resonates with their own experience and to explore the deeper awareness that can emerge through stillness.
Through his books, Richard hopes to make manifestation, meditation and mindful living approachable for everyone-whether they own a handpan or are simply drawn to its peaceful sound. He lives in the Dallas, Texas area and continues to write books that encourage personal growth, organization, and a more intentional way of living.
