John has served as pastor of Mount Soledad Presbyterian Church since 2007. Prior to that he spent 15 years as a pastor of a church plant in northern California. He received his bachelor's degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and his masters of divinity at Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, CA. In his free time, Pastor John enjoys kayaking in Mission Bay and off the coast, cabin vacations at Lake Tahoe, reading, and gardening. His favorite movies include Chariots of Fire, The Natural, and the Lord of the Rings and he enjoys eating at Rubios Fish Tacos and any food my wife prepares. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two grown children and one granddaughter. His desire in his position as pastor is Helping people make their way home to God through a relationship with Jesus.
