Mike Kelly has been a reporter and featured columnist of the Bergen (NJ) Record since 1977. Kelly's columns appear in USA Today. He has published three books: The Bus on Jaffa Road (Lyons), Color Lines: The Troubled Dreams of Racial Harmony in an American Town (Morrow), and Fresh Jersey, a collection of his columns. Kelly has been named Columnist of the Year three times by the New Jersey Press Association. Kelly is a frequent guest on New York radio and appears regularly on New Jersey television. He lives in Teaneck, New Jersey.
