Detective Dixon Franklin is hired by a numismatist to track down a valuable collection of stolen coins. Along the way to cracking the case, he crosses paths with the sleuthing daughters of a famous private investigator, finds himself suspected by the local authorities and becomes involved with the wacky denizens of a small town.
