A boat cruise, a crabby kraken, and talented friends--human, mermaid, and otherwise--are on deck as Emily and pals sail into the sixth story based on the New York Times bestselling Emily Windsnap novels. When friends Emily and Mandy are looking for an adventure, they know to visit Mystic Millie, who peers into her crystal ball and reveals that they should go on a boat trip! The three of them embark on a cruise around Mystery Island, but as the boat nears its destination, the engine and navigation tools suddenly stop working. Emily dives into the water to investigate and discovers the noise from the boat has started to wake the kraken that lives under the island! The creature is interfering with the boat's technology, and an awake kraken is also a cranky kraken, so Emily knows they need to get it back to sleep as soon as possible. With some help from Emily's best mermaid friend, Shona, can Emily, Mandy, and Millie soothe the kraken and help make sure the boat returns safely to shore? A new adventure awaits in this story for young readers based on the bestselling series by Liz Kessler.
