These are poems from the 1940s-1960s. They are the product of a young would-be poet who though poorly educated is fascinated by the written word, which he uses to describe the world as he sees it. The are full of enthusiasm for history, the bible, world cultures, nature, the sea, farming and a variety of other subjects. The reader will either screw up his or her mouth in scorn or reflect on their own experiences of that period in time.
